While we were doing Aqua Aerobics I noticed the tape the instructor was playing had older songs than I'm used to hearing in class. It had lots of Roy Orbison, the Beatles, Blondie, the Bee Gees, Herman's Hermits, Blondie, and the Go-Gos.

Then it hit me: This is what they're going to be playing at us when we're senior citizens in old fogey homes. Eeep.

I remember some show from the early 70s, where one of the characters was catapulted 50 years in the future.

One of the scenes was a visit to an old folks home. Where a bunch of oldsters were dressed like hippies, dancing to acid rock. The Guide's comment was "They like their own music."
