Said by a co-worker this afternoon:

"So, who's going to rush out and catch the SpongeBob SquarePants movie this weekend? Come on, I don't see any hands!"

I actually tried watching SpongeBob SquarePants. I figured I'd give it ten minutes. After two minutes, all I could think was, "Do I have to sit through the other eight minutes?"

The only reason I have seen more than a few nanoseconds od SBSP is it stole the time slot where Nikelodeon used to show Invader Zim, which IMHO was the best thing on children's TV since Rocket J. Squirril.

SBSP, on the other hand, struck me immediately as an even more effective trigger of the adult gag relex than Barney.
