Said by a co-worker this afternoon:

"So, who's going to rush out and catch the SpongeBob SquarePants movie this weekend? Come on, I don't see any hands!"

I actually tried watching SpongeBob SquarePants. I figured I'd give it ten minutes. After two minutes, all I could think was, "Do I have to sit through the other eight minutes?"

I've seen it. Spongebob is relentlessly cheerful. Not so much as that Evil Purple Thing, though.

Although I think The Girl is too young to appreciate Spongebob.

I loved the interview on Fresh Air earlier this week with the actor who does the voice of Spongebob. He said things like Brian Wilson and John Sebastian were in touch with his inner Spongebob, as they tend to sing and write happy songs. He even began singing Styx's song "Babe" in his Spongebob voice.
