Yeah, I vent alot
Feb. 25th, 2004 12:54 amMost of the time when I have lots of time to write in my journal, it's because:
I realized folks reading my LJ who don't know me well enough or in person might think all I do in person is whine, moan, and complain and never joke around. Um...when I'm out joking around and getting stuff done, I'm usually too busy to update my journal.
In person, I'm very proactive. I like getting things done. Not getting things done drives me nuts. When I can take action to fix things, I do. When I can't, I complain because it's all I can do.
Hence, when I'm updating my journal, it's often because I'm not up to getting much of anything done, so....
- I don't have enough going on in my life.
- I'm too sick to deal with whatever is supposed to be going on in my life.

BTW, it's been way too long since I've last seen you in person or in action. (When was the last time? FKO 5, 9 years ago?)

Could be. I was at Torcon, but I didn't see you there. I wanted to go to FKO to support Dr. Jane, but my finances were way too tight.
I haven't been to an OVFF in over a decade ($$$). The only reason I've been able to do GAFilk is it comes right after an annual massive influx of cash (me working holiday hours like crazy). Beyond that, I've mostly been hitting West Coast filk and regional cons and Worldcons these days.

A man who keeps a diary, pays
Due toll to many tedious days;
But life becomes eventful--then
His busy hand forgets the pen.
Most books, indeed, are records less
Of fulness than of emptiness.
-- William Allingham
p.s. I can testify that you're great fun in person :)
