I just left an LJ community

The one I left was fuckyoulist. I was getting tired of all that negativity getting in the way of hearing about how my friends are doing.

I guess I don't have the need to vent in that way in a public place.

I'm glad you dropped that. I read the first two postings on the community (I'd never heard of it before) and can't imagine why I'd ever want to read it again. That wasn't just negativity, that was no-holds-barred vitriol of a sort I would really prefer not to read again. Ew.

Part of it was sheer, unbridled inertia on my part. I much prefer dot_cattiness for the kind of venting I do. That group is more like, "Hey, I'm functional; what's your problem" and has even given me a few laughs.
