I could use help in the form of extra vocalists, especially those of you who can read music and hold a part. ([livejournal.com profile] capplor, I'm especially hoping for help, of corpse, and yes, that's a hint!)

"Help, of corpse"? There will be singing zombies?

The "corpse" line was a hint to [livejournal.com profile] capplor. If I wanted to clunk [livejournal.com profile] capplor over the head with it I'd have "chucked" it.

I still have the tape y'all made for me when I was in the hospital. Of all the things people gave me, that one was the best, most morbid gift you could give a cancer patient. Thank you!

I sure hope the girls don't have school on Saturday at 4:30pm!

You can probably get Fred, but I've committed to being local backup musician for the Hugo entertainment. Tech runthrough is 4 O'Clock. We'll flip for who gets to keep the kids. I'll see if there's any wiggle room.

I spoke to Kathleen. There just MIGHT be a chance we can juggle the schedule so Robin can be there.

If the schedule has already been printed, don't muck with it. If, however, it's not set in stone, see what y'all can do. Just know that I might not arrive till sometime Thursday at this point.

That's Saturday around 4? I would be happy to join the corpse corps.

Consider yourself hit up on! Shall I email you stuff (do you/will you have a computer at the con with you)?

Same here. I'd do it but I'm not leaving Washington all month. Heck, if it wasn't for work I might not leave Seattle all month.

It's August, isn't it? Day-am, where'd the time go?

The WANTING TO part is there, but the BEING ABLE TO part isn't. I won't be in Denver, and I don't think my voice is loud enough to be able to be heard there if I sing here. :(

Still hoping for your amazingly-fast-and-complete recovery.

I can lend you a small cuisenart for the duration of your visit (that much less to pack) if you need to do your own pureeing for anything.

Thanks, but I haven't yet gotten desperate enough to start whirring foods, but am instead opting for stuff that is naturally in liquid form, such as soups, yogurt drinks, and fruit juices. Do you know if there is a Safeway (or equivalent) near the con hotel?

I know where they are near my place, and could probably make sense of what you can google (as a native guide). Safeways themselves exist. Another well regarded budget grocery is King Soopers (I've been told their organic section is better than Safeway. And there's Whole Foods.
We're commuting, of course and Fred is keeping his old cell through the weekend. Then we're cutting it out, in favor of the new spiffy phone with the local number.

Organic Is Good. I'm game to check out King Soopers on your recommendation.

Again, I'm hoping I'll be able to eat "regular food" by the time I'm there. Given that I can now open my mouth wide enough to insert my thumb without scraping my teeth (albeit barely), I'm expecting to be able to eat anything I can break down into small enough pieces to swallow whole.

Granted, I want to hit Casa Bonita so badly I am almost willing to suck refried beans through a straw, but I don't expect it to come to that.

Sigh. After losing my job this spring and other such headaches, going to Worldcon this year is out of my reach in too many ways. :-(

I wish I was there in person ... I can only be there in spirit.

Many ((hugs)), best wishes, good thoughts, and a' that ... :-)

Yeah, but next year it'll be in your neck of the woods (Montreal).
