I was about to head out for a party around an hour ago when I got horrible pain in my stomach, as if it were full of excess acid. I took antacids with no result. I've eaten a ton of crystallized ginger with minimal results. I am alternating between typing this and clutching my stomach.

AAAAAAAAAUUUUGH!

P.S.--To [livejournal.com profile] dinogrl: If I don't make it, you know why. :-(

IIRC, [livejournal.com profile] dimakoi was complaining about something similar in the past few days too.

I just hope it does not come up this way. As my most recent post reflects, I am merely exhausted now.

If it doesn't get better soon, I'd strongly suggest getting it checked out. In women, cardiac issues often masquerade as "incurable heartburn"...

Interesting. I had an EKG around a month ago and it was normal.

I don't want to scare you, but a normal EKG may not necessarily mean you're in the clear. My mother-in-law came >this< close to having a heart attack, and now has five stents. All of her EKGs were normal, it was only when one doctor noticed that she was really pale and shaking that she got more tests to find out what was really going on...

There was a stomach bug going around Wiscon on Memorial Day weekend. You may have caught a mild case of that (many people were projectile vomiting).

Sorry to hear you were feeling "buggy". It was an interesting party.
Feel better!
