Did someone change the nature of the Day of Atonement when I wasn't looking? :gawk!:

I should have looked to see what these people have for Ramadan.

No, it's under Specials. I can deal with that. The junk they are selling, that's another matter.

They'd probably bring you a catered lunch.

I LIKE the costume idea. A Blue Wig!?!
Even the Orthodox Jewish Women don't wear their wigs on Yom Kippur.
Very.Very.Wrong.
At least most of the actual "Party" stuff they point to is generic Jewish stuff (the first link went to Passover stuff, the second one Chanukah stuff).

Don't mind me and this Clue by 4. *whistling*

For me, it's just not Yom Kippur without a piñata.

(An empty one, that is.)

I saw a caterer advertising their "Yom Kippur Menu" today. I'm really hoping this is for after the fast or before Kol Nidre.

The local party store advertises Purim Costumes. It seems to have taken longer but the . . . what is that word? got it! Comercialisation. Thats it, it's catching on. Anyway people can make money they will. It's sad.

I'm not, personally, a big expert on Jewish traditions, but their own description is rather jarring: Day of Atonement, refrain from pretty much everything, whole day in synagogue, Yom Kippur Pinatas, WTF????
