The scary part is now that song has to go on the upcoming CD (I was going to hold it for the next one). I need to find a soprano to do the descant that goes with it.

By coincidence, the friend that heard you is a very good soprano, with a sense of humor. We could always ask (but probably not until you send word that you'd be interested)

When last I checked, Maya was an alto. I know the kind of voice I want; the problem is going to be getting someone warped enough to do it (cflute, are you bribeable?).

Lynn, Maya has several octaves of range. she prefers Alto because it is "more interesting." But I remember Shannon McGuire declaring her Alpha Suprano.
However, the friend who reported hearing you on the radio is dedfinatavly (sp) a suprano and most certainly warped. She thought the song was hilarious & could probably be convinced to rercord it with you.
Should we ask her?
