I've been dealing with it since right after I got back from Scotland.

Does anyone know of any good herbs or other stuff for it? This pitching back and forth and around is driving me nuts.

Have you had your inner ear checked? Infections there can cause vertigo, as can bruising, although the latter usually only lasts a week or so.

The one time I had severe vetigo

Sudafed made it go away. Try anything that would be good for nasal congestion and it might work.

The ENT/Allergist says I don't have an infection there, but I do have swelling that was exacerbated by the prednisone.

Never had to deal with except the time I had a serious sinus and inner ear infection. As already said, sounds like doctor time.

I've been to my allergist/ENT twice. It's not "infected" but it is swollen. He says the prednisone exacerbated the problem.

8-) I was posting just as you did the other reply regarding medical exam.

that leaves decongestants of some sort, I don't remember all your food issues but in my case I'd go for chilies/ginger/alliums in soup.

OK, that will do it. Did they not have any idea about how to make it unswell? Or is it a "leave it and it should go away by itself" sort of thing?

My mom has had inner ear issues for over 20 years, at least. She's on daily doses of Antivert for the dizziness. If she's not on it, she's too dizzy to do anything. As far as I know, there isn't a specific cause that the drs have id'd for it, so they just treat the symptoms. *hugs*
