...the best news of the week is you have inflamed, gooey lungs.

That's the diagnosis I got from the pulmonary function test. According to the test, I'm having trouble exhaling and I'm inhaling "normally."

OTOH, it also showed I have significantly above-average lung capacity (and this should surprise who?), so I may be having not-so-obvious trouble inhaling as well.

I'm now on medication for it, and it is helping the condition. The bad news: The medication is prednisone, and I'm also dealing with its side effects.

Suffice it to say if I'm a castrating b*tch at ConChord, you'll know why.

I'm sorry you're having to take prednisone, but, yes, this is better than the alternatives.

You are going to take the side effects and make them your material, right? "I was on prednisone for inflamed lungs a few weeks ago, and I'll tell you, the mood side-effects made me feel like a bitch on wheels. I was almost qualified to be a FoxNews host."
