Thought for tomorrow

Warren just came over to me a few minutes ago.

"Tomorrow is kind of getting to me," he said. "It's Father's Day, and I know you're thinking what I'm thinking."

"Yeah," I replied. "It's the day our respective brothers get honored for getting their girlfriends pregnant out of wedlock."

"Yeah," he replied. "I'd like to see something more appropriate instead, like 'Vasectomy Day.'"

Okay, I don't know anything about either of your brothers, but as I understand it Father's and Mother's Days are traditionally days when children honour their parents for, among other things, making them. I can see society in general getting behind your alternative, and I'm sure the idea will catch on as a separate holiday, but I would hope that fewer and fewer children these days are so hung up on morality as to censure their parents for allowing them to be born...
