...earlier today, combined with nasty cramps, makes for a Lynn who can't sleep.

Grrrf.

I tried eating donuts, as they usually knock me out. Instead, they just made me weepy.

I don't dare do Vicodin, as I won't have enough time for it to wear off before I have to get behind the wheel of a car (4am -- only about six hours from now).

If my skin and hair were normal instead of oily I'd shower now, but since they'd grease up anyway, there's no point in doing that.

I've been resisting taking Yet More Ibuprofen because I'm already chock full of stomach acid, but I can't think of anything else to do to kill the pain element. I don't know how to get the excess caffeine out of my system.

Colleen uses Bufferin (buffered asprin), but then asprin is the only thing that seems to work for her. YMMV. Tums or the equivalent works on the stomach acid; probably faster than anything else (there are things that suppress production, but if you already have it the only thing you can do is to neutralize it as quickly as possible).

You can tell my blood sugar's in the dumper. I keep calcium carbonate "candies" (sucrose-free Maalox tabs) on my headboard shelf right above where I sleep for a reason.

This also reminds me of why I don't worry about getting enough calcium in my diet. :-)
