A pain in both ends

Tomorrow I go in for a combination colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Today I am on a clear liquid diet. Yuck. I have a headache, but I can't take ibuprofen for it, and the Tylenol I took isn't making a dent in it.

Best wishes to you for a painless procedure and a speedy recovery. Is this just a routine one, or was there a problem? I had a colonoscopy in the summer of 2002 because I had weird stomach pain that couldn't be identified. First they did a pelvic sonogram, and they didn't find anything in either exam, and eventually the pain disappeared, and hasn't been back since. Hugs!

Both. I have been having almost perpetual diarrhea most of the time with occasional bouts of extreme "block the toilet" constipation. I have been having abdominal pains. Cancer runs rampant in my family; both my father and his father died from colon cancer. I've been considered "high risk" for cancer since my early 20s because it takes me less time to name the relatives who haven't had cancer than those who've had it.
