5) It depends upon where you make the break decision-wise. If I had never left south Jersey, I think I'd have turned into an alcoholic and died young, either by drinking myself to death or outright suicide.

If the split-point had been whether to come out to California, that's an interesting one. I suspect I'd have somehow finished my education at Columbia University, then gone to their Journalism school, gotten a good broadcast journalism job, and had a killer career and life.

6) Alas, I doubt I'll make OVFF. I only have so many frequent flyer miles, and I don't think I'll have enough $$$ to get there by then.
