Right now I'm feeling drained. It's totally physiological.

I feel like I haven't fully recovered from Baycon and the mushroom poisoning. I'm mostly resting, interspersed with some contract work; right now I'm backing up files, something I can literally do in my sleep.

My body feels like it needs something. I wish I knew what it was. I have no energy. Mentally there are so many things I want to be doing, but my body is going "BLEAUGH!" I even purposely took ibuprofen instead of darvocet for cramps so I could be functional today.

If I had a normal metabolism I'd be eating sugar for a quick rush. If. I don't. Sugar would knock me out even harder and faster. I'm also not especially hungry as I type this. I ate a "normal" breakfast (coffee with nonfat milk and Splenda, sugar-free cereal and milk). I don't know what else to ingest.

I don't think I'm dehydrated. I've been sucking down massive quantities of fluids. I can see the two litre bottles of diet (caffeine-free) soda and one litre bottles of water emptying daily.

Any suggestions for energy boosting are welcome.

One thing that helps me when I'm feeling enervated is Emergen-C. You can get it in sugar-free packets (though the regular kind are still very low in sugar). The vitamins and electrolytes get into your system really quickly, and I find it works as a pick-me-up.

I just tried some. I hope it works.

One of the things that perks me up when I'm feeling sluggish is spinach. How much iron have you been getting recently?

I tried [livejournal.com profile] lysana's advice (I happened to have some of the powder she mentioned lying around because it looked interesting) and an iron pill. The combination helped.
