We all share the same foam screen, and we're not allowed to remove it. The mikes are expensive, as are the foam screens, which are attached to the mike. It's one of those things where anyone caught trying to remove it could lose their job, and there are rumors of closed-circuit cameras that can watch us at any time.
I'm not sure I believe those rumors because I sometimes get accused of being lazy when I'm working my butt off, yet other times I'm left alone when I'm goofing off. Go figure.
