Forgive me if I'm feeling (slightly) envious, but I would not want to have gone through what happened to you just to get to Worldcon. :-/ I hope you enjoy the experience, even if Kathy Mar seems to be getting all the press, according to lemmozine.
Sigh. Suffice to say that I went to see Batman: Dark Knight this evening and did not like it. I suppose it was partly because some of the moral relativism expressed in the movie, but certain other hot buttons of mine (such as acrophobia) got pressed rather hard too. I think it may be a looooong while before I go see another Hollywood block-buster.
