Today I was doing traffic on KVYN in Napa when the morning DJ, Jay Arnold, gave me a choice of three "odd" stories for him to read. One was about "furries in San Jose," and I forget what the other two were, but of course I had to hear about the "furries."

I wound up turning around what could have been a "let's make fun of the weirdos" story into positive publicity for y'all.

So...need a filk performer next year who has lots of animal songs? :-)

It's my understanding that [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf, who ran both "gofurs" and filking at this year's Furcon, is planning to drop filking because holding down two jobs was just way too much work (she's learning...).

AFAIK nobody has asked yet to be her successor.

I said filk performer, not coordinator.

Thanks! I wasn't at FurCon, but I will be at CaliFur. (I have to - I'm Den Mother again...) Prrrrrrrr!

I know, but it could be the sort of situation where being the first to mention the subject gets you some unwanted attention. (In which case it's too late now.)

After Westercon I'm more or less ducking and covering for a year or so when it comes to organizing filk convention stuff. I need a break.
