1. How much money is in your wallet right now?
$35 CDN, not sure how much in US dollars (not much, though)

2. How much money would you need in the bank to feel secure? Rich?
$25k to feel secure; $1m to feel rich

3. If someone gave you $100, no strings attached, what would you do with it?
Put it towards expenses.

4. If someone gave you $1 Million, no strings attached, what would you do with it?
Pay off all my bills and my home loan. Maybe get some plastic surgery or go to a weight loss spa.

5. How much does something have to cost before it starts counting as "real" money, as a purchase to be considered and evaluated, but below which you'll buy without really thinking about it?
It depends upon the item. I wouldn't blink before spending up to $29 on a pair of pants or a blazer, but the number goes way down for items like undergarments and food. I get edgy about spending $30 on a meal for one, but I wouldn't think twice about spending it on the right piece of hardware.

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] gridlore:

1. How did you learn about yesterday's bombings in London?

Warren came over to me and told me.

2. Do you have any personal connections to the area?

I know a few people who live in the London area, and I've visited there once.

3. Do you use public transportation?

Sometimes. Unfortunately, it doesn't run when and where I need it to run, so I always have to drive (or be driven) to and from it.

4. Have you ever let threats of terrorism change the way that you live each day?

Only when I fly, and it's only because our government has put in artificial "security measures" that prevent me from taking things like my Swiss Army Knife and my music stand onto the airplane.

5. If you could say something directly to the person or group responsible for this tragedy, what would you say?

You stupid gits, why are you doing something so pointless?

What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list and post it to your journal. Let the world see what calms you down!

My list:
  1. Working in radio. There's something about the focus needed to be "on" when I'm on air that just soothes my nerves. It's also nice having money coming in.
  2. Finding bargains in stores. When I get a really good buy on something I actually use, it's always a stress reliever.
  3. Dance Dance Revolution. There's something about dancing and scoring points that just floats my boat.
  4. Aqua aerobics. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to do this in ages due to my schedule.
  5. Sewing. Actually, it's not so much the process, but having the final creation In Hand that does it for me.
  6. Writing music. When I can create it, it feels great.
  7. Doing stand-up comedy. So far I've only done a little, but I seem to have a knack for it. When I'm on, I'm on. It's definitely something I want to pursue.
  8. Writing in my Livejournal. It's a way for me to vent.
  9. Reading -- when I can. Sometimes my eyes blur so I can't. This is big-time annoying, as reading is one of my "guilty pleasures."
  10. Researching stuff, whether on the Internet or elsewhere. I used to do this when I was a kid by going to the local library and looking up stuff in the periodical on microfilm. Now that there's the World Wide Web, I can indulge in this pleasure from home. Sometimes I even get to do it as part of my work.
  11. Cuddling my dog. She's adorable. There's something really cool about a creature that demands my attention and affection. Being wanted by someone is always nice.
