Is This The Way To Armadillo?

In 1971, Tony Christie recorded the Neil Sedaka song "Is This The Way To Amarillo" and had a big hit with it in the UK.

In 2005 on the UK version of Comic Relief, a video with comedian Peter Kay miming the song appeared. The song was rereleased on March 14th for Comic Relief and had a resurgence on the UK charts.

British soldiers in Iraq found themselves inundated with the song. In 2005 a group of the British Royal Dragoon Guards in Iraq took action.
