ViaVoice won't install

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, but when I go to install it on my PowerBook the installation chokes.

After a week (and buying a new DVD-ROM drive) I managed to convince ScanSoft (parent co.) there was a problem with the CD-ROM, so they sent a replacement.

This CD-ROM chokes in the same place.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem installing it on MacOS 10.2.6 on PowerBooks with DVD-ROM drives?

I'm in no shape to give a full report, but I'll at least try to post the filks I did over the weekend.

It was disorganized, but I had fun anyway.
