I am in a great deal of discomfort (euphemism for pain) right now.

I'm trying to work despite this. In half an hour I leave for back-to-back doctor's appointments.

My client is expecting me to do office hours after my appointments. I am not up to interacting with people in person today any more than I have to.

It'd be much easier to deal with the owies by medicating myself to within an inch of my life, going to bed, spreading out the two laptop units, and getting some work done than it would to go in, spend most of my time covering up my being in agony, and get next to nothing done.
