Canadians or Brits coming to Conflikt

If any of you would bring me some Sugar-Free Extra Strength Fisherman's Friend lozenges, I'd be forever grateful. I will happily pay you at LEAST what it cost you to buy them (hint, hint).

For reasons I cannot fathom, Fisherman's Friend doesn't distribute the Extra Strength Sugar-Free lozenges in the U.S.

What a shame ... I wouldn't mind coming to Conflikt to see you (though I'd enjoy the filking too).

With the [unprintable] bus strike continuing here, any and all vacation plans are still On Hold.

Odd, they only seem to sell the Fisherman's Friend Sugar Free Mint Cough Suppressant Lozenges here - http://www.amazon.com/Fishermans-Friend-Suppressant-Lozenges-40-Count/dp/B000UD71LI/

I wonder why they don't sell the others?

The parent company (Lofthouse) doesn't distribute the sugar-free extra strength ones in the U.S. I used to get them at the British Foods Store in Campbell, but they haven't had them in ages.

Sure, no problem. How many?

[identity profile] figmo.livejournal.com 2009-01-22 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooo!!!!! A dozen of the largest size you can find.

Augh, I'm so sorry, I spoke too soon. They have been discontinued in Canada, we're sold out, and none of the other stores I've called have any left in stock either. :(

It looks like they're still being marketed in the UK, though, so perhaps one of the Brits can help you out.

I think Lofthouse changed the Canadian name to "Extra Strong Tooth Friendly." They sell it in a light blue and white striped package.

My wholesalers only had the varieties listed on lofthouse's Canadian website, which no longer includes the blue & white version with any name. If they're still being sold in Canada, they're being awfully stealthy about it. :(

AHA! I FOUND THEM! They've changed the name to "sugar free regular," which fooled me, but the menthol concentration is the same as the extra-strength. Meanwhile, our wholesaler had the UPCs of the cinnamon and the sugar free plain backwards. (STAB STAB STAB) Anyway, I have 11 packages for you for conflikt (just the 22 lozenge size) but I could bring you more for Consonance if you like. YAY!

Woot!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

I'll have to check our British goods store here just in case they carry them. If they don't, they might know who does.

Thanks for the pointer! The only "gotcha" is the wait time for delivery (unless I want to pay more for delivery than I'm paying for the lozenges).

I suspect I can find someone in the UK to bring me some before this place could deliver.
