A traffic accident being fixed...sort of.

An accident where a vehicle went over the embankment, waiting for tows....

It's all photos and on a Belgian site, but it's obvious what's going on and work-safe (in my case, work-appropriate).

We had a discussion of this sequence in #Filkhaven yesterday, and the best conjecture I heard was that the scene of this double accident was in Ireland. Possibly in Galway.

Could be. Note that I said the site was Belgian, not the accident.

I must just be evil...I was wanting the sequence to continue in a way that would not be at all difficult to extrapolate...

SO they bring in the railroad crane, and after it tips over ...

I can't say I was *wanting* the sequence to continue, so much as half-expecting it to.

Truly an "I *hate* when that happens!" moment. Especially the guy in the red sweater in the right foreground in the fourth picture down. I hope the driver of the first tow truck lived.

Something just like that happened at Lake Merritt in Oakland. A crane was pulling something out of the water and tipped into the water. Then, they had to get a larger crane to pull that out.

I hope the tow truck driver was OK. I suspect s/he was, given that the fall was probably pretty slow.

The signage on the largest truck was in English, so it did not happen in Belgium.

I think [livejournal.com profile] tnatj was right about it having taken place in Galway, Ireland. Doing a Google search on the business names shows them both as existing there.
