I dropped Radiohead because I can't remember anything about their music, therefore they are sufficiently insignificant to me.
As for the Dead, they were such an obvious choice for me to add because the list IMHO looked so empty without them. :-)

Billy Joel because... just because. From shouting out the lyrics to The Stranger in 8th grade to the special live version of _The Downeaster Alexa_ on a promo not-for-sale CD I got at the Laurel Record Exchange, he's touched my life in so many ways.
Removed the Sex Pistols because I don't remember anything about them except for how famously influential they were in punk.
The Beatles probably shouldn't be so low on the list, but while I own most of their records on DVD, I rarely listen to them. Then again, is there a better sonf to dance to than _I Saw Her Standing There_?
