MRI tomorrow

They're doing an MRI of my left shoulder and my neck tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully they'll figure out why I hurt like all getout.

The rheumatologist, meanwhile, says to rest and wear the sling; the "paradoc" (nurse practicioner) in osteopathy says I shouldn't wear the sling and should resume normal activity. Normal activity puts me into pain so bad I'm in tears. Grrrf.

While it hurts so badly, there is no use to try normal activity, I would say. Of course, you shouldn't move it so few for a long time taht all muscles vanish and joints get stiff, but just leaning over, and shaking out the arm losely from the shoulder about 3 times a day does teh job. Don't strain if it hurts!

Of course don't do normal activity if the pain is that bad!

But you might try taking off the sling a few times a day and moving it very slowly and gently.
