Quick Update

On top of bicipital tendonitis, I may have an AC separation. Both injuries normally only happen to athletes. According to the web, the latter tends to happen to professional hockey players when someone slams into them on the ice. Eeep.

ConChord is therefore looking like a no-go. The rheumatologist wants me to avoid driving and guitar playing for the next two weeks. I now have a sling. Yuck. I don't get in to osteopathy till Monday. Grrr.

The pain is now down from a "9" (on a 1-10 scale with "10" as worst) to an "8."

Ouch! My mother had a shallow shoulder cup (before an operation) and as it deteriorated, she dislocated her shoulder more and more frequently. That's a different shoulder problem from either of your issues, but I've seen how debilitating it can be. Rest up, take what temporary pain relief you can get, and get it fixed.

Ow, crap. What bad timing!

And take a break from ice hockey!

...especially as played with a guitar on your lap from behind the wheel of a car! =;o}
