Peanut butter: creamy, coarse, or chunky?

Creamy

Can't stand coarse or chunky.

Coarse *and* chunky. In fact, I like to grind my own and add chunks of peanuts to it. Yum!!

Coarse

Yes <g>. Any of them. But with jam/jelly, not with chocolate, it gets too clidgy with chocolate as well. PB with fruit is good.

I've never heard of peanut butter with chocolate -- at least not on a sandwich.

Reeses PB Cup on rye, hold the mayo.

Creamy...

I would have to say...definately creamy.

I vote for almond butter instead. Any of the above.

Well for me it's Whole Earth brand coarse, or failing that Tesco's own brand Organic coarse...

Creamy. If I want whole peanets, I'll get a bag of Planter's salted.

Chunky, more peanut flavour.

I don't thing I've ever had coarse.

Creamy, but Sue buys the peanut butter here, so I've been eating chunky for seven years now...

I'm curious: Why a peanut butter survey?

[identity profile] figmo.livejournal.com 2003-05-31 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Why not?

Actually, it's because the topic of peanut butter came up on a mailing list I'm on. We've gotten into this rather detailed discussion.

About the only thing we agree upon is "regular" peanut butter contains either one or two ingredients: peanuts, and maybe salt. Folks have been debating over whether flavored peanut butters are okay, as well as over which texture or textures are best.

As a result, I just wanted to see what a random sampling of folks on LJ would say.

The terms I'm used to are "smooth" and "crunchy", with no third variant. I prefer crunchy. But then again, I don't actually like the taste of peanuts anyway - They're just the only sort of nuts I can stand at all. =:o}

"Coarse" is what you get when you go to the kind of store that has the in-store peanut butter grinder. It's not quite smooth, not quite chunky.
