I pay extra $$$ per month for the deluxe PPO health plan so I can see specialists when I need to.

It has been very handy when I've needed to go directly to a specialist without bothering my internist, such as when my ankle was crushed. I have a couple of friends who had broken ankles and surgery delays because of their health plans.
